La methode proposée par Didier est la plus facile pour diverses raisons techniques.
et la même sur les forums d'Ubuntu.

Pour ton problème est peut-être dû à une erreur du programme graphique qui à un moment va lancer la commande apt.

donc passe en ligne de commande et dis-nous

joint ds fichier texte les 2 commandes
je ne sais pas lancer :mise a jour (pour supprimer certains vieux dépôts)
Avec synaptic j'ai supprimé tous ce qui n'était pas indispensables
