Pour ce qui est du disque dur auto-alimenté, il faut que l'alimentation de ton Rasp soit suffisante, a testé.
Par conte, tu aura toujours besoin d'une carte SD pour lancer la séquence de boot. (http://www.framboise314.fr/booter-le-ra ... e-dur-usb/)

Est-il possible de l'utiliser comme petit serveur web, pour installer "ejabber" et d'autres petites joyeusetés de ce style ?

Il serait donc, allumé 24/24 durant 7/7.

J'aurais l'intention de lui mettre un disque dur auto-alimenté via le port usb et je n'utiliserais pas avec une carte SD.

Merci de me donner votre avis !

si pas, je pourrais récupérer un vieux portable mais, mon soucis est la place disponible !

Voici 3 articles intéressant sur des concurrants au raspberry pi :

Le second semble prometteur. Même prix que le raspberry pi mais avec plus de mémoire et bcp plus puissant.
Restera à voir si la communauté sera derrière. Force que le raspberry pi a.
